Break Through Homebuying Barriers This Fall

New home buyers packing for a move
Make Home Happen

Though many homebuyers have already taken advantage of recent low mortgage rates and moved into homes that better fit their needs, there are still more that haven’t made it all the way to the closing table. Let’s take a look at some of the homebuying barriers your clients may be facing—and what we’re doing to help overcome them!

Having trouble saving up for closing costs?

In many markets, we’re offering thousands in closing cost assistance for buyers who choose to finance through our affiliate, HomeAmerican Mortgage Corporation. That means more money your clients can keep in their pockets, add to their down payment, spend on options and upgrades at the Home Gallery™ or use toward moving expenses! Select your region on our offer page for details and share them with your buyers.

Getting burned out (or priced out) by bidding wars?

It can be tough to maintain enthusiasm for house hunting when you’re competing against deeper pockets and cash buyers in a low-inventory housing market. Luckily, new homes are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so your clients can avoid the emotional rollercoaster that comes with making an offer on a resale home.

Need help transitioning from renting to owning?

Buyers interested in our Seasons™ and Urban Collection™ plans can enjoy an added bonus this month: a move-in package with select appliances and window blinds at no added cost! That’s a great deal for renters (who may not have their own appliances) and for existing homeowners who’d like to start fresh in their new place. Learn more about this offer and about the exciting home collections that make Richmond American homes more accessible to a wider range of homebuyers.

Nervous about interest rates?

Rates have been super low for months, but buyers who plan to build a home and close later this year—or early next year—may be worried about what happens if rates rise. Tell them about HomeAmerican Mortgage Corporation’s extended rate lock program. For an upfront fee, they can lock in a rate for up to 350 days (or up to 170 days for high-balance loans). No rate regrets!

Sidelined by waitlists?

While some of our coming-soon communities may have interest lists forming (and we encourage you to get on those lists for the latest news!) buyers won’t typically find a waitlist at an actively selling community. Tell them they’re welcome to schedule an in-person or virtual appointment ahead of time or drop by any sales center accepting walk-in visits; either way, we’ll be happy to show them what’s available. And, if you register your clients online or at any of our community locations, your commission will be protected for 30 days, whether you’re there with them or not!

We know that’s a LOT of info to pass along to your buyers, but don’t worry! We’ve set up a page you can share to get the word out to your clients: RichmondAmerican.com/NowYouCan

You’ll even find an additional incentive just for your military (and former military) buyers!

Happy selling!
